MY personal view of the origin of the universe accords completely with scientific theory (although, see the last paragraph).
Like most people (and most scientists) I'd like to know what triggered "The Big Bang" (an expression I hate) and what was before it. I also know it is pointless to speculate.
(BUT, I do have a problem with string theory, - it's just too convenient an explanation for some things.)
