All of you don't know the full story, the teacher wouldn't let me leave the class to use the rest room, so I just left without permission, then came back. Nothing has happened since. Besides, it's not like it's a really horrible thing to do. Some of you are taking the question too seriously..

Who told you that you were an adult? Your stupid friends? Legally, you're a teenager. Now be nice and ask for permission first.

Legally you might be an adult, but you are sure acting like a teenager.

Zack, I'm with you, Cananda or wherever, bounce on so another student can LEARN. He's wasting the teacher's time. Bye

Adult or not, you must abide by the rules of the school. The consequences of disobeying those rules could be detention, suspension, expulsion or nothing.

Nothing, I say keep walking, your wasting everyone's time, money, energy and resources, leave immediately so another can fill your seat.

If you're think about doing a dumb, immature move, you're not concentrating on your studies you're not respecting your fellow students and you're definitely not respecting the teacher I say get up get your books and bounce on out of there. Bye.

It is the height of disrespect if you are considering doing this because you consider yourself an "adult".

Adults persevere through difficult situations because they know that something better is coming on the horizon. Children do what feels good at the moment without considering the consequences of their actions. Man up. Decide what kind of person you're going to be and if this is going to be worth it in the long run.

As a high school student, 18 or not, are you under the impression you no longer have to abide by the same rules as everyone else?  Of course they can do something about it. This includes calling your parents.
