You did the best you could and should be proud that you did it yourself without copying or cheating. It does matter how you go about things ! You'll keep your knowledge and he'll just get by in life whereas you'll do much better. Be happy that you worked so hard and next time, your hard work will pat off.

So he cheated and skated by....this time. Don't let it get you down.Ā  He will fail later in life because he doesn't really know how to the work. You on other hand are learning how to do the work, and in the long run will do much better. You should feel proud of yourself for doing the right thing.

Dear Gokula Krishnan,

Straightforward ALWAYS matters.

There are some things in life that you just need to make your own decisions, and do the right thing for your own sake...even if no one else ever knows.

The only person you always have to live with is you. And by studying honestly you are setting up a pattern of integrity in life, and you will be glad when you are my age, and you will sleep well.

You should be proud of what you did BECAUSEĀ  of the effort you put into it .. Not because of what one singular person has graded it. YOU know the effort and quality of the work you did .. Even though they missed it. That speaks about their grading skills which may not be as good as one would hope. Disappointingly, that happens sometimes.

However .. And having said that .. By letting your friend copy your work you are enabling their lack of effort to be rewarded. That doesn't do them any favors. Yes, it provides them with a good grade evidently (that they don't deserve) But it also teaches them that it's ok to cheat and to not apply themselves. It interferes with their discovery of their own legitimate abilities.

Keep this in mind .. You gained something from this experience .. The knowledge you gained and lesson learned about how to research and learn. You have something to be proud of .. Your friend that cheated does not

Just think about how your friend will go in real life, when there's no tests to take, but if doesn't know the content, or how to do it, he's stuffed.

Hey G, We all know how smart you are (and I remember seriously wonderful contributions from you a few years ago). Don't sweat it. Cheats never prosper (apart from possibly an American Property Developer). You'll be OK buddy.
