I'll pick a novel to read, after 20-30%, I'll jump to another novel, and this goes on again and again. At the end not even completed  a single novel. Is it just me or is it usual?

You’re cheating yourself and doing disservice to the authors’ work. Why bother at all.

That's rare. It's the author's greatest compliment to write a compelling page turner.

Surely there's a style of writing that might interest you more.
