There are several types of protists: Plant-like, animal-like, and fungus-like. The plant-like protists produce food through photosynthesis, the animal-like protists and protozoa ingest bacteria, other organisms' waste products, algae, or other protozoa, and the fungus-like absorb nutrients through their membrane.
