One cup consists of 0.5 pint. Thus 1 pint makes 2 cups. 1 cup is considered to have 250 ml of liquid. In the US, a cup is known to be equivalent to 8 fluid ounces. A fluid ounce=2 teaspoons. Incidentally, 2 pints make 1 quart and 4 quarts make a gallon.

Pint is the unit of liquid measurement in quite a few nations. A pint is known to be 1⁄8 of a gallon. "Imperial pint" is used as a unit of measurement for beer in the nations of the Old British Empire. In the US system, there are two pints: a wet pint and a dry pint. 6 US wet pints =5 imperial pints. The US wet pint is divided into 16 fluid ounces.
