I am a third grade teacher...A square has 4 lines of symmetry. 1-Horizontal, 2-Vertical, 3-Diagonal, 4-Diagonal.
It has 2 lines of symmetry because if you go dangle it will change the shape.Yes I know when you go vertical you change the shape. But when you go diagonal you make a triangle and a triangle has 3 angles and a square doesn't.And a rectangle has 4 angles just like a square.
4
Anyone who says it is 4, is correct
The square has two lines of symmetry because if the line goes vertical or horizontal then it would be good.
A square have 2 symmetry and it is correct!!!
A square has only 4 lines of symmetry where you going with 2?
2 lines of symmetry are called diagonals on a square what are the other 2 called

IT IS NOT THAT HARD TO WORK OUT !!!!
