A cone has 1 vertex
Some people say yes some people say no. I say no because it has no line segments
1 vertex
A cone has no vertices due to a vertex having to be an a point where two or more lines meet and a cone does not have the appropriate properties to fit this description
A cone is a 3 D solid shape with a pane base. The axis of the cone is a straight line. A vertex is a point of intersection of the line segments but actually there are no line segments making up the cone so the cone does not have a vertex. That is why it is better to call it an apex rather than a vertex in a cone because the definition of a vertex is not appropriate for a cone. It has one apex, or the area where the cone tapers into a point. There is just one apex in a cone and it is its pointed part.

It depends since people have been debating whether or not a cone has a vertex but I think is no...
