If you're planning to apply for a place on an undergraduate course at University of California Davis, then there are various entry requirements you'll need to meet.

Most of the information is available on the freshmen's admission site, but here's a quick round-up of what they're looking for:

Getting into UC Davis
The university has seven areas of study that you'll need to have completed to a C-level or above during your high-school education. They are:

  • English
  • A second language
  • Laboratory science
  • History/social science
  • Mathematics - three units
  • Visual and performing arts
  • College preparatory elective
The institution will also take several other factors into consideration. Your overall high-school GPA (grade point average) needs to come in at somewhere over 3.0, and your SAT (standardized assessment test) will also factor into the equation.

Because the University of California is required to meet state education targets, it has special pathways available to high-school students already based in California.

For more information about the admission process at UC Davis, you can have a look at the official PDF brochure of Undergraduate Admissions Requirements for 2013.

I got a 3.62 weighted gpa and a 1730 on my SAT and I got in. The funny thing is that UC Irvine rejected me.
