Evita Peron died of advanced cervical cancer. Although she underwent a hysterectomy by the well known American surgeon 'George T. Pack' her cancer actually returned back with full force. Along with cancer she also developed Lung Metastasis; she was also the first Argentinian to under go the process of Chemotherapy. Although she was treated with every possible treatment available at that time, she became emaciated. It is said that she passed away at the age of 33, 8:27 p.m. on the 26th of July in the year 1952. She was also given the name or the official title of "Spiritual Leader of the Nation". Following Evita's death the whole of Argentina went in to mourning; all activities including movies and football were put on a halt.
