It's a wonderful word, Otis. A scallywag in a rascal. Originally, as Rooster pointed out, it had a harsh meaning but these days we mostly apply it to precocious children.

Now if you'd asked about rascal instead, I'd have given a different answer. The Rascal (actually Raskol) gangs of Papua-New Guinea are deadly.

From Urban Dictionary and it fits !

A term used in the old red light districts of Europe, referring to a scoundrel, troublemaker, or outlaw (or a troublemaker even among outlaws).

Yes - that was the name Harbaugh...I feel badly for both Harbaugh, and for Colin too, for both their situation they must be feeling deep discouragement...

Jim Harbaugh was the best Coach the 49ers had in years ! But he didn't get along with the idiot G.M. and it was mostly a parting of the ways. There are maybe three people left on the whole team from Harbaugh's tenure. Now he is a successful College coach. Poor Colin, his time is almost out. I could see it yesterday. That intensity was no longer in his eyes.
