Ok x-3y = 5. Why because y has a value and x too
Answer= x= 2
and y =1 now multiply them
and subtract
its algebra too. So the answer is 2-3(5)=5
and why because since 2-3 =1
and 1 x 5 = 5
4x-12y=13 this can't be 13 because 4x2 is 8 and 8 - 12 is -4 than times what? So this answer is wrong.

Matrix set up like     [     1   -3 | 5  ]
  [    4   -12| 13    ]
and then you work from top left to bottom then to top right
to try and get    1 0
  0 1   on the left    and end up with then answer on the other side of the |
