7(x-9)=4x-36 first do distributive property for 7(x-9)
7x-63=4x-36 second you minus 4x from each side
3x-63=-36 next you add 63 on each side
3x=27 last u divide 3 on each side
X=9

7(x-9)=4x-36
7x-63=4x-36
7x-4x=-36+63
3x=27
x= 9

SO, the value of  X= 9.
I hope you can understand my answer.. ^_^

if 5+y=12,and you add -5 to the left side of equation,what should you add to right side of equation?

Solution:
7 + 3x = 7x - 9
7 + 3x - 3x = 7x - 3x -9
7 = 4x - 9
7 + 9 = 4x - 9 + 9
16 = 4x
16 / 4 = 4x / 4
answer: 4 = x

check:
7 + 3(4) = 7(4) - 9
7 + 12 = 28 - 9
19 = 19

7x-49=4x-36 now add (-4x) to both sides
3x-49=-36 now add (49) to both sides
3x=13 now divide both sides by (3)
x=13/3 or

x=4 and 1/3

I hope this helps

The expansion of the left side should be 7x-63, resulting in 3x=27 and x=9. If you subtract the right side, you get 3(x-9)=0. This is only true if x-9=0.
