How To Write Fractions In Expanded Form?

Decimal fractions are written in expanded form the same way that whole numbers are written in expanded form. Express the value as the digit times its place value.  Example  12.34 = 1*10 + 2*1 + 3*.1 + 4*.01  = 1*10^1 + 2*10^0 + 3*10^-1 + 4*10^-2    (exponential form)
