In my opinion, computer education is one of the most important aspects of schooling.
Computers are involved in every aspect of modern communication - and therefore acquiring a good understanding of how they work and how they can be used is really important.
Why is computer education important?
Almost every career in the world involves using a computer these days. In fact, in most professions, a good understanding of computers is a basic requirement.
Not being able to efficiently use a computer is pretty much the same as not being able to read and write, which is why computer studies are taught in schools around the globe.

When we talk about computer education, we usually mean learning to operate a computer efficiently - and this is a skill that is involved in many walks of life.
Computers are central to the way we manage and store information; they are the libraries of our time, and are fast becoming our primary method of communication. Therefore, not having a good computer education would almost be like not learning to speak properly!
