First of all you calculate the area of the base of the pan using the radius (half the diameter) squared and multiply by a figure known as 'pi' (this is a fixed number. 3.14).
Sounds complicated but isn't! In this case it would be:- 4x4x3.14=50.24 (call it 50 for simplicity!)
to find the cubic inches you just multiply the area we've just worked out by the height of the tin.
