Not many went to school but those with just enough money went for as long as they could pay.
The ones that did not go to school or had already been for a few days worked in mines, mills, factories ect...
Most children died because they did not have enough money for food.
Some lost thier parents and had to live in the streets alone.
The ones with more money stayed with other people rich or poor.

They worked in mines or in the factory, they worked for 10 hours and they were asleep when they eat.
They had little money. Sometimes when they worked in mines they didn't know that there was no air inside they working.
In factories, they was working by going inside the machine nd fixed the machine, a lot of times they used to cut their little fingers when they are fixing machines.
I want to say that you are lucky that your noy like th poor childern like victorian times!!!!!

Poor children in the city were more likely to be taken into workhouses, orphanages and factories. Maybe a parent would give the child to a Foundling Hospital. In the country, children had an easier life without as much work and poor play. But it still wasn't easy.
