A slave ship usually carried 500-600 slaves picked in the hold of the ship like sardines in a tin. They had no elbow space and could not move about and on occasions they were chained. Men,women and children were all packed together with no toilet facilities. They hardly had any space.

They were beatine and some died on the ship them they were fed food that made them vomit and because they were chaned up they had to use the bathroom right were they were.
