Y = (x-1)2
 
when x = 0 then, y = 1
 
and when, y = 0 then x = 1
 
so domain is 1 and range is also one for this graph
 
for second graph,
 
y=5(x-7)2
when x=0 then y = 245
and when y=0 then x=7
so domain is 7 and range is also 245 for this graph

reason: Because x can be any number but y can't be a negative because a square won't give you a negative.
