Now students can also change institutions even after the exams have been held and results released. This process requires a pin and serial number from the candidate which comes in the form of a scratch card that must be purchased by the candidate for use online. This will give the student access to the site to make these amendments. The scratch cards can be purchased for N4,600 at leading banks, post offices and JAMB offices throughout Nigeria. The JAMB UTME Scratch card contains a serial number and your PIN, two vital pieces of information you will require for UTME e-registration so keep it safe.

The biometric scanner (finger print reader) will be used to capture the left and right thumbs of each candidate to combat cheating.
