It helps if you put the set of numbers in order from least to greatest. If you have an odd number of numbers you find the middle number. If you have an even, then you take the two numbers that are in the middle and add them together. Take what you got from adding them and divide that number by 2. Hope it helps!!

For a start the median is the middle number in in a line of numbers.

For example 2,4,6,(8),10,12,14.     Here the middle number is 8.

If you have 2 middle numbers: Eg. 2,4,6,(8,10),12,14,16. The middle numbers being 8 and 10. you add these numbers together 10+8=18 and divide the answer by 2 which gives you 9 this is your median.

Lets say you have 202 212 215 219 219 225 and you have 215 and 219 as your middle number so you add them and get 434 then you divide that by 2 and you would get 217. It's that easy. Hope I helped!1

If you have an even amount of numbers all you do is ADD the two numbers for example 12, 14, 14, 16, 17, 18, you add 14 and 16 and then that gives you 30 so then you divide it by 2 which equals 15

Firstly place the numbers in order

2, 2, 3, 5

Then add the middle two numbers together

2 + 3 = 5

Then divide in half

5 / 2 = 2.5

Median is a measure of central tendency. The first step in finding the median of any distribution is arrangement of the observations from lowest value to highest value. Since you want to know the median for an even distribution, you simply have to take the mean of the middle two values. This will give you the median of the even distribution. E.g in the case above the median is 2+3/5=1

What you have is an odd #. Unless you're missing a # . But if you have an even # what you do is add both of the middle #'s and add them, then what you do is divide them by 2 and then that will be your answer.hope it helps..
