This question is a bit ambiguous. There are many ways to answer it given the fact that there are many types of written assignments one might be given. If you are given a book report the content you must acknowledge and document is different than an opinion style essay. In order to answer this question, we will give a few typical content requirements for written assignments.
- 1. What, who, when, where and how: These are the five elements to consider at all times when it comes to writing. You may not use all five of them in every assignment, but it will give you a starting point. By answering the five questions, you will know what you are discussing, who it is for, when the issue occurred or when the documentation occurred that you include, where, and of course how something occurred or needs to be written about. As you can see, there are a few ways to interpret this.
- 2. In a creative writing assignment, you are going to look more for the exposition, lead up to the climax, the climax, and then the resolution. Other written documents can also follow this in that you gain the reader's attention, outline the context, explain it further, hit the most important pieces of information, and then resolve the entire document at the end.
- 3. Essays always have an introduction that explains written assignments in general with a thesis to narrow down what will be discussed. Then the body expounds on the thesis and an end is a conclusion based on the results or discussion in the body to prove or disprove the thesis.
