A boy at school has nicknamed me olive(offensively) and its become really annoying especially as now most of his friends now call me olive aswell. How do i get them to stop?

What I would do:

I would confront the person who started with this and calmy ask him why and if he could please quit it.

After that I would just ignore it. The ones that say that these kind of things stop with ignoring are wrong, sometimes you got to say something about it. Just don't get mad, because that's what they find funny. Always stay calm and nice no matter what, keeping yourself in control and being calm and nice to everyone means they don't have a reason to continue with calling you 'olive'.

Just try to keep your chin up and smile, stuff like this usually stops after a while.
And hey, Olive isn't the worst nickname you could get, My friend's nickname is Olive too and she loves it.

I agree with everybody one here they enjoy seeing it make you mad.. The guy who started it, if he picks on you a lot n tries to get under your skin, he might even like you, probably thinks you look cute when you get mad... But just roll your eyes n smile n shake your head (like your saying no) that's a gesture  like saying "your immature, it don't bother me" n I definately like Nicki Jae's suggestion about the "martini" complement, that's a good one :)

Tell them all that an olive is the best part of a martini thanks for the compliment hold your head up high and walk away.

What I used to do is show them that it didn't bother me and have my own friends or myself use the nick name as though I appreciated it and liked it I showed them that no matter what they called me or thought of me I would still walk around with a smile on my face and it did not bother me whether they did like me or didn't. When you do this they will see that no matter what they do or say about you .. It will not ruin your spirits and eventually they will stop, b/c now they have nothing on you. I always did that to whomever made fun of me b/c I knew who I was and liked myself and no matter what they had to say I wasn't going to let it ruin my self esteem. It's not like they have much on me so why give them the pleasure of winning. I always kept a smart alec mouth but always was nicely when I was a smart mouth .. Meaning kill them with kindness ... It def. Does work and you will feel soo much better about yourself once another person knows what bothers you all they will do is use it against you but if it no longer bothers you .. I agree with the person above, If they know it gets to you they'll continue so just take it as a joke and give them funny nicknames as well.

Act like YOU were the one who gave yourself the nickname .

Trust me if its a jokey one like that it will wear off eventually, just don't take it too personally, boys like to be annoying x
