I received an eviction notice from the court in the mail - then later that day someone put a typed up letter on my door stating the Sheriff will be by the day after we are scheduled for the hearing to evict my family. Can this happened?

Yes it can since the Sheriffs dept is involved so get ready to move real quick or find your stuff on the curb.  Usually you get more time but it must be legal where you live as most places give you around 10 days to get out after court date before Sheriff Deputys show up

Thank you for response. The eviction letter said we have to go for a hearing on monday in front of a judge. That letter came from the court. The letter taped to the door wasnt from the courts/sheriff office. The landlord wrote it herself. There isnt a judgement as of today
