A parallelogram is a quadrilateral whose opposite sides are equal and parallel. A parallelogram may be a square, rectangle or a rhombus etc. The area of parallelogram is equal to the magnitude of the cross product of two vectors. If the angles are 90o degree between sides of parallelogram, the area of parallelogram is equal to the simple product of two sides.

Consider these parallelogram as a rectangle because angle between the sides ( height and base) are not given.

Area of parallelogram= base x height

240 m2= 20 x height

height= 240/ 20 meters

height= 12 meters
