There are many more options for the person who has an education, than for someone who does not. When women were allowed to pursue educations they could then start to earn their own money and not rely on their husbands, families or communities to take care of them. As women become more educated, and more opportunities opened up to them, they also tend to have fewer children. Women were then freer to enter public life and have more input in the political arena. With more education and more opportunities, women can have a greater voice, which in turn changes the society for all.
