LCM stands for "Least Common Multiple". To do this, you need to list the first few multiples of 2 or more numbers and find the common multiple(s) (common multiples [CM's] are multiples that BOTH or ALL the numbers have). 
For example: Find the least common multiple of 5 and 7. 
  • To do this, list a few multiples of both 5 and 7, and see if you have any common multiples.
 
  • 5: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105
  • 7: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 119, 126, 133, 140
 

The common multiples of both 5 and 7 are underlined. Now, order the common multiples from least to greatest, then choose the LEAST common multiple of them all.
 
  • Common multiples: 35, 70, 105
 

35 is your least common multiple.
