The prime factors of 121 are 11 and  11. 11 is the only prime factor of 121. 1 is not a prime number. It is a composite number A prime number is any number that can only be divided by itself and 1. Here is an easy way to find prime numbers:

First you start off with======>     121

Then you begin dividing 121 by 2. If two does not divide evenly (which it does not) then you divide by three, four, five, etc. Until you get one that divides into it evenly. Once you get one that divides evenly then it becomes much easier to find the prime factors.

Here is how 121 is broken down:   121
  ^
  11   11
  ^   ^
  1    11    1   11

You see how 121 only has  3 factors: 1,11, and 121. Since 121 can be divided by 11, then it is not a prime number. And remember, 1 is not a prime number.
