Amelia Mary Earhart, known popularly as Amelia Earhart was born in 24th July 1897. She was an aviatrix and being a woman, she was even more applauded because at that time women did not generally enter such daring professions generally. She also wrote a book about her experiences. Initially she was engaged to Samuel Chapman but she broke off the engagement. Later on George P. Putnam asked her to marry him 6 times before she finally said yes. They got married in 1931. They did not have any children.
