Multiply any number by .15
so if a shirt costs $4.75 for  example
use  4.75x.15=.7125
because stores round up when it comes to tax it would be around 72cents for tax

Cost of the shirt = 4.75

15% of 4.75 = 15/100 x 4.75 = 0.7125

Therefore, 15% additional cost will make the cost of a unit = 4.75 + 0.7125 = 5.4625

In order to calculate the 15% of any number, just multiply the 15/100 with the number and then add the outcome in the original value.
