Questions I need answered for a psychology project: Your gender? On a level of 1-10 how much do you depend on the internet? How many hours do you use the internet on an average day? And could you happily go a week without using the internet?

On a level of 1 – 10, I would say that I probably rate myself as about an 8 or 9 for how much time I spend on the internet.

On an average day I would spend about 6 hours or so on the internet and no, I could not happily go a week without using the internet! I struggle for a few days! And I am female.

To qualify my answers, it's not quite as bad as it sounds...! I am counting all internet usage. So that includes my phone, if someone sends me a message on Whatsapp, then I am using the internet to view and respond to that.

I also only watch TV on the internet now. So I may spend an hour or two in the evening watching TV shows on my computer. Whilst I am not actively “using” the internet, the content I am viewing is on there, so I feel like I should count that too.

The same goes to listening to music on Spotify, which I might do whilst I am not in front of the computer, but I couldn't do it without the internet connection.
