My favorite teacher was my high school calculus teacher. He actually taught pre-calculus, calculus 1, and calculus 2. I've had him for all three of those classes and he had made math interesting. I don't know why, but his teaching style was nicely paced unlike most of my previous math teachers who always went too slow. He was also really good at explaining the origins of certain theorems and equations and methods on how to solve problems that I had a deeper understanding of the subject and it felt nearly effortless for me to remember most things in the class.
That's why to this day, even though I haven't been in a calculus class for over a year (although I will be enrolling in one this fall), I still remember a lot of calculus. Just recently I was able to ace my calculus placement exam for college and I have him to thank :)
