What GCSE options should I take? I'm coming up to leaving school and I've decided to get into real estate and I wanted to know which options would help me in this career choice. And what I would need to do after school to be successful?

To work out the best GCSE's to take in order to be successful in the "real estate" industry, you may want to look at entry level jobs or even positions you aspire to hold, and examine the skills that might help you in those type of roles, on a day-to-day basis...

GCSE's to take in order to get into real estate

The real estate industry is pretty vast, and could require specialist knowledge about anything from construction through to sales & marketing.

Another thing that can help you decide which GCSE's to take are university course descriptions (even if you're not planning to attend university).

For example, the page about the BSc degree course in Real Estate at Nottingham Trent University mentions things like:

"valuation, development, sustainability, investment and finance"

To me, that would suggest that GSCE's in business studies, finance, or maths would be a good idea.

Choosing a GCSE course

However, if you want my opinion, I'd say that the GCSE's you choose won't have as much of an impact on your future as the actual grades you get.

For example, if you managed to do well in a course you enjoyed, regardless of whether it's directly related to real estate, I think prospective employers would still look upon this favourably as it proves you are hardworking, organised, and able to achieve the goals that you work towards.
