I've heard of passive readers, but it doesn't apply to all readers. In fact, if you're a regular reader, you're probably not a passive reader. Passive readers don't read for fun; they read for business or only for the certain facts, they want to know. The other type of reading besides passive reading is active reading. I'm an active reader when I'm reading a series I enjoy, but I'm a passive reader when cramming for a test or reading for a book report.
