Integers are whole numbers, are they not?

Sometimes we don't need extreme accuracy and precision in our answers, so we disregard any decimals or fractions and round up to the nearest whole number. Such as in chemistry. In other cases, we'd use whole numbers to make them easier to read and understand for the public.

If Office Depot sold a pack of white printing paper and said the paper size is 11 and 23/1069 inches in length, and 8.52687849779369732967 inches in width...I'm pretty sure some peoples' OCD will kick in and they'll avoid it and instead get the pack of paper that says 11x8.5 instead.

As for me, I'd get both, because they're pretty accurate anyway.
