What do you like about children stories?

I read all kinds of books, including children's and young adult books. Generally speaking, I don't like the ones that have vampires, witches, etc. In them. I like the type of books that have a real-life problem in it and how the character tackled the issue.

Children have a unique view of things and often take a simplistic approach to working things out. It helps me remember that there are different ways to work things through.

I do occasionally read some children's books by good authors like Clive Cussler. I like them because it makes me remember when I was a kid always looking for an adventure !

I love the pure magical possibilities that come alive in a child's world.
