When ever you write a story do you like to listen to music? Does it make you think better about what your writing about? For people who enjoy writing like myself.

In my case it wouldn't help. When I write I tend to become so absorbed in what I'm doing that I don't hear music or anything else.

Listening to music whilst writing doesn't really work for me any more, I always got distracted and focused on finding the right song to write too. That's just me though.

Definitely, although depending on what stage of writing I'm at, I like to pick different types of music.

If I really need to focus, then music with lyrics can get very distracting. In this case I prefer listening to more "atmospheric" music like film scores etc...

When I'm in the flow, then I can listen to whatever.
