Which of these equation is a direct variation A: y=-8, B: y=-8 x-1, C: y=y -8 x D:y=8 x+1 and E: y=3 x^2?

A direct variation is like y = 3x.                    Something like y = 3x + 2 is not one.             So none of your possibilities will work.           Unless C is supposed to be y = -8x. That is a direct variation.
