Depending on your own personal style of writing, they all can connect to the lower case letters next to them. In school we are taught a certain way to write, and are judged and graded on our performance of what the instructor teaches us. But when you get out of that situation, you can write with your own flair and style. It's always good, however, for people to be able to read your writing.
