The velocity of a body is equal to the change in displacement with respect to time.

V= dx/dt

The resultant velocity of two velocities in the same direction can be calculated by adding both the velocities. If V1 and V2 are two velocities in the same direction, then resultant velocity is;

VResultant= V1 + V2

The direction of resultant velocity is same as the direction of two bodies.
