People use abusive language because they believe it is acceptable. They don't fully understand how abusive it is and think it is perfectly ok. Sometimes they say it because they don't know synonyms, sometimes because they can't be bothered trying to talk nicely. Mostly they don't realize how horrible and rude it is. I never say abusive language and cannot stand it. Its ridiculous-so many words yet people have to choose the ones which are abusive.
