In Substitution Cipher:
A letter is replaced by another letter. Its types are: Caesar cipher, monoalphabetic, polyalphabetic etc..

In Transposition Cipher:
The message is written in a given scrambled manner. Its types are rail fence, columnar, route, cipher etc..

Subtitution: Each letter retains its position but changes its identity,
Transposition: Each letter retains its identity but changes its position.
