This equation is easily graphed by locating the intercepts and drawing a line through them.

To find the point where the graph crosses the y axis, set x=0 and find the value of y. When you do that, you get
0 - y = 4
y = -4 (multiply both sides by -1)

To find the point where the graph crosses the x axis, set y=0 and find the value of x. When you do that, you get
x = 4

Plot the points (0, -4) and (4, 0). Draw a line through them extending to the edges of your graph. That line is the graph of the equation.
