2D shapes are used in our daily life for say a tennis ball , and the tennis ball is a circle because every piece on the tennis ball is completely the same . If you don't get what it is I'm saying , take a ice cream cone . What shape is that ? A cone shape its the same kind of shape as a cone shape . Or take a piece of paper , fold in lines of symmetry how many lines can you get ? 2 , 4 , 6 ? Well in fact you can only get 2 lines of symmetry there . We use shapes for making new inventions or maths , just have a think of what you can do with shapes ????
