Studying for exams is something that we all have to do at some point during our lives and it is also something that most of us dislike immensely. The main question that we all want to know the answer to is; what is actually the best and most effective way to study and remember all of the information that you require to pass your exams successfully? This is not a straight forward question to answer as all of our minds work in slightly different ways but there are some proven techniques that can certainly help you to store information that will prove useful when you come to be tested. When you begin to study it is a good idea to place yourself in a similar position to the one that you will be in when you actually take your exam. For example, be seated on a chair at a desk just like you will be in the exam hall, not lying horizontal on a sofa. It is advisable to keep yourself away from anything that may distract you from your work. The television should never be on, you should not be listening to any loud music or any music at all for that matter and having other people around you is not a good idea. You need to be able to completely focus on your task alone; nobody will be with you in the exam. You should always take regular breaks and ensure that you eat and drink regularly too; your mind will not be able to function without a healthy body. Making notes is also a key element to successful studying, writing down key points about what you are actually reading will really help your brain to store the important pieces of information.

Well, what I do is to relate a topic with something you know, or something that sounds fun to you.
Also what I do is, I write down all the important facts in sentences, when I finished, I make a funny sentence with the first letter of each sentence, so, I will remember all the facts because of the new word I invented, ha, ha, ha,..well, for me it worked pretty good, when I studied, in fact I used in my master's degree too! Good Luck! :)

You have to be ready to absorb what you are about to study.....after which you list down what you hope to achieve at the end of it all...make sure you understand what you read...you should concentrate, look for da best atmosphere to study....jot down da main points in whatever you study so that you can review them anytime you want...in case you don't understand look for somebody who understands to explain it to you...hope it works out for everyone

Well it just depends on your learning style.
Some people are visual while others have to hear the information. Still others must write it down or put it in picture format.

For me, the best way to study is to read it over, carefully and try to memorize it. Then I write it down. After that, if I'm still having trouble, I try to relate the information to things I know by heart. Or I try to memorize using short cuts.

Most of the time I can just memorize the information without the other steps. I just find weird things that stick in my head to help me memorize....

I hope that made sense, if not then just talk to me and I'll try again,...

Highest level concentration is required to learn and memorize things. You have to draw the picture of the topic in your mind and while requiring, you have to think by close your eyes. Be sure, you will be able to recall.

Just look toward the written information that you want to learn. Try to capture the picture of it by your eyes. Wait for sometimes. Then close your eyes. You will see the captured picture (with the information), but don't loose concentration.

I think it is to write down. But If you don't want to write down it's OK.Just read until you really understand .And I always sit and close my eyes for a while before I study. And it's really worked..
So try.I'm sure you'll get more memory account to remember.

I think that the best way to study is make different types of information different colors in your head. Or different pictures - if you are trying to learn a word, seperate it and teh different parts, you relate it to something you know and enjoy. I also think that going over things 2-3 times also embedds it into your memory! Good luck

I think the most effective way To Study is to read and understand. UNDERSTANDING is the criteria..

Understanding might be hard for some (or many), but we are humans, Humans and even animals LEARN.. For this case, we should learn how to understand.
Either by Trial and error (I.E. Try to read 'HARD-to-understand' statement until you understand it Example: The Newton's Second law) or by asking friends and teachers to help you to understand. Soon we will learn to understand things more easily by ourselves.
Further, you will start to recall things without difficulty.. With your WELL-DEVELOPED SKILL in understanding and studying, you can enjoy your days as an A -Student!! =D

Of course you need to struggle or feel depressed at times, but it is worth it. Go and sit in front of your table and read those textbooks!! (DON'T LET THE TEXTBOOK UNDERSTAND YOU MORE THAN YOU UNDERSTAND THE TEXTBOOK)

***A good tip when studying is to use multiple textbooks to make you understand the particular topic even more. Recalling a topic will be easy as recalling my girlfriend's phone number. (Hehehe)

What tests and exams are for? To test your understanding of the particular subject.. ;)

It depends on evry one
it also depends in environment you r in
like some people like 2 study in day n some in night (like me)
some in quite place and some in background music (d way I do).
Then set evry thing acording your way

now 4 d study
as every 1 is saying make a picture in your mind do tht way it helps
but in place whee you can't find an image make a flow chat table
this chart also works in places where there is a big and huge ans.

I find that the best way to study is to use colours that attract your attention and to write notes that summary's the information...all the needed information should be on your notes but things that are not needed are taking up space and time...I think the best way for a person  to study is to say this to themselves a few times...or draw symbols to help...or write important facts down...
I find that these methods or things help!!!
Hope I helped...

Make notes using key words. Use colours.. Headings one colour, sub headings another. Then look at the stuff you wrote down, close your eyes and try to see it or picture it.. You will soon find that you can remember everything on the page and even remember where you wrote it on the page. It takes time so be patient and try it out again

A flow chart works the best then everything in 1 topic is together and you don't get confused so easily
all information your studying must be sorted into categories that way you don't mix up your information and you don't get confused so easily
