You can use the steps below to find the slope of the line that passes through two points, where only the two points are given.

The formula for slope in this case is
m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
The two sets of points are:
(4,9),(1,6)
Here y2= 6, y1=9
x2=1 and x1=4
So slope is
m= (6-9)/(1-4)
m=-3/-3
m=1
Hence the slope of the line is 1
