I too am confused whether I should go for an mba degree or not. I completed my msc biochemistry and since then have been searching for a job, but have not found luck yet. So I'm left with no option but upgrading my degree which would obviously mean doing an mba, phd or llb. Now I'm confused which one I should go for
M.Sc is a Masters degree obtained studying natural sciences, which would mean a truly scientific study unlike management and social sciences. After M.Sc, one would be able to contribute and add value to the knowledge of science, if you go for higher studies and research and seek a job as a scientist in the science research organizations. Unfortunately, in the era of Globalization, due to long gestation period and uncertainty over the outcome of the research endeavors, private sector has lost appetite in investment in the advancement of natural sciences and public sector investment is too small, as a result jobs are not forthcoming in this area. Therefore, it has lost the interest of the students as well to take up subjects of natural sciences as their career. On the other hand, the management sciences have become lucrative option for students to opt for on account of its sky rocketing salaries and perks. Understanding this change, in course of time made me to change my career option from Science to Management. However, I look forward to apply my knowledge gained in M.Sc in the world of Management.
Mba is to learn about market & business and Msc is for learning. For being practical with good personality one should do Mba
