Additional information is needed. First of all, you need to know what the geometric figure is. Often, height and width are references to a rectangular area. Sometimes, the information is that the height and width are integers. Example   Area = 15, height and width are integers, what are the dimensions.   Answer: 1 by 15, or 3 by 5  Sometimes the information is that the perimeter is some value, or that the height and width are related by some factor.  The area of a rectangle is given by   area = height*width If you are allowed or required to choose one, you can find the other by   height = area/width   or   width = area/height
