An acknowledgement in a seminar report is similar to a bibliography or works cited page in a research paper in that you are giving credit/thanks to any help you have received in the writing of your factual paper.  Acknowledgements should be brief and avoid "flowery" language i.e. They should be straightforward and lacking in any verbal embellishments.  Usually your acknowledgements will include everyone that helped you which may be other faculty members, staff members, colleagues, and any administration or library staff who helped you complete the report.
