A good way to reduce the inevitable stress involved in taking an examination is to run through one or more simulations.  You want the kind of questions you might encounter on the actual test, preferably in a similar format to raise your confidence level beforehand.  Free CNA sample exams and practice test questions for certification are available from a number of sources, as are instructional videos and other types of assistance for test preparation; check out the links and suggestions that follow for some useful resources.

You might find it helpful to contact the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry kbn.ky.gov/knar/ and query them as to what assistance and resources they are aware of.

www.prometric.com/NR/rdonlyres/ervz6e4wupwfdqutiscusszcqojwb has a 50 question practice test.

At www.asisvcs.com/indhome_fs.asp?CPCat=0000NURSE you can find sample questions and previews of their study/exam aids; select your state and choose from a list of pdf resources such as Candidate Fact Sheet, Candidate Handbook, Test Sites & Schedules, Nurse Aide Practice Exam, CA CNA Registration Application, Nurse Assistant/HHA Initial Application or Renewal Application (preceding list is for California)

www.asisvcs.com/publications/pdf/069912.pdf  Practice NNAAP Written Examination

www.cnatips.com/videos/cna-practice-tests.php  provides a variety of sample and practice exams.

Finally, you don’t want to overlook CNA web forums and support groups like www.network54.com/Forum/11252/ Discussion and networking there can turn up additional sources for pre-exam study aids, advice and suggestions from successful graduates and moral support from other students doing test preparation along with you.

There are many more study and test prep packages available if you are willing to pay for them.  However, if you work through a number of the free CNS sample questions and practice tests out there, you can feel much more confident about your level of preparedness and achieving a successful result.  At that time, your name will automatically be added to the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry, where the registration remains valid for two years and can be renewed thereafter.

I am not aware of one.  That would sure help if there was one though.  If you paid attention in your class and study what you have learned you should be good.  Make sure you know how to take vitals accurately, know about blood pressure, know about positioning and what positions there are, etc.  That is the main things I can remember that were on my test.  It was quite easy.  If you have a book or any notes just review them.  The basics I would make sure you absolutely need to know is the vitals.  Especially, the ways to take a temperature and blood pressure.  Good luck.  Especially, if you have to take a skills test they will make you do this on someone to pass it off.  Then there are clinical hours you must do but if you are getting ready for the written test you probably already did them.  They should help you complete the test with the experience you had completing those hours.

Before taking my CNA exam, I stumbled upon this site:

CNAPracticeExam.ecrater.com

The practice exam had more than 600 multiple choice questions, which really helped me pass my written test. Now I'm pursuing my LPN at a community college.

Didn't cost that much. Hope this helps.

There are a lot of nursing homes that have their own classes and the clinical part is usually paid on the job training although they may contract you to work there for a set amount of time. ROP classes are $350 plus $50 fingerprint , Red Cross exam easy terms common sense
